About the event

Join us on Sunday, May 14th at 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM for a Mother's Day Macrame Plant Hanger workshop at Stone and Spoon located in Ypsilanti, MI.

We will be working with 4mm braided cotton cord and a metal hoop covered in matching cord. Therefore this plant hanger will hold a heavy ceramic pot easily, best fit for a 4-inch to 8-inch pot size- however, we make it to size!

This plant hanger is meant to be indoors or in a covered area for best long-term use.

The cost of this workshop also includes a gorgeous pot (that you will get to choose upon arrival) and all the materials and instruction to make your very own plant hanger. The plant hanger will be made with cotton cord and will be approximately 3.5 feet in length.

Looking for a plant to go along with your pot & plant hanger? Get a plant of your choice for 20% off at Stone & Spoon the day of workshop. This offer is only valid with workshop registration.

This workshop is $65 per person. This workshop is for kind humans ages 14 & up.

The risk of covid is still present, so please if you are sick stay home. Due to a limited number of 12 tickets, this workshop is non-refundable. Send someone in place of you. Or pick up a finished plant hanger at a later date if not able to attend.

Heather, owner of Greenshields Macrame, will guide you through the traditional practice of macrame knotting and design! This beginner’s macrame workshop will teach you the foundation macrame techniques, enabling you to start your making and quickly push it to another level! With confidence and support, Heather will guide you through the steps of creating a plant hanger and you will leave with the inspiration and knowledge to continue your intuitive making!
